Glowstick Twister Tip’s. The measurements and technique I use are based on over 20 years of practicing and experimenting with Glowsticks and Fire. And after many, many, cuts on hands, arms, head, bruises, bumps, black eyes, pinch marks, and a lot of aches and pains, but well worth it. Use Think of these as a visual Art and for your enjoyment and the moves will come together. Use these as Nunchaku and you will limit yourself to the moves that can be done. Glowstick Twisters will sting
when you hit yourself, which you will, you should never hit anyone with these. Wrap a piece of tape twice around the tubing between the middle of the Twister and the glowstick's. Repeat on other one and use the tape as a marker for holding, releasing and catching them, Try not to go past the tape when holding or catching.
All the moves consist of Backwards and Forewords quarter, half, full, circles and figure of eight’s, around the whole body, i.e., legs, arms, wrists, hands fingers, neck also a great deal of releasing, catching, and Twisting. Place one Twister in any hand, between the thumb and index [first] finger held firmly but not to tight. with the loose one facing away from make a sideways, but forward figure of eight “8” with your hand and wrist, and watch the loose Glowstick Twister copy what your hand is doing, Or try a circle using the same technique. To make larger O’s or 8’s let your elbow and
shoulder copy what your hand is doing. When you feel comfortable doing these two very basic moves, try them in reverse I. E backward figure of 8’s or O’s. Then holding the Twister with a Glowstick pointing outwards try the same you try these moves two things will happen besides the pains you will feel in the muscles in your whole arm they are centrifugal force and gravity which you have to combat, gravity pulling down force i found going with it then fighting it better than trying to fight it all the time. (bend at the knees and not your back). Centrifugal force pulling away i found if i held them firmly but not to tight with my thumb and fore finger and loosely with the rest of my fingers they did not come flying out of my hands and they moved more fluently (there are moves when you do have hold them tightly) then when they started pulling away i let my arm extend fully then pulled it back as close as possible. So instead of fighting these problems go with them then fight them it's easier to fight and rest than fight all the time.
